We live in a day and age where anyone with a cellphone and a built-in camera thinks they’re a photographer.
Go to any concert, and you’ll see a sea of fans with their cellphones in the air, aiming to get the perfect shot of their favorite artist’s performance, just to share with their Instagram followers.
But glance towards the front of the stage, and there’s usually a media pit. That area is reserved for the professionals. The photographers with their $20,000 worth of camera equipment, looking to get the “shot” to share with their respective platforms and audiences. These concert photographers aren’t household names, but they produce outstanding imagery for the culture, and we salute them.
7 of Our Favorite Concert Photographers:

As the founder and former chief editor of Southern rap publication, OZONE Magazine, “JB” is a mainstay in hip-hop culture. The Atlanta based influencer always has her camera on her and catches every major concert coming through the ATL.
